Our Slow Ocean Collection is all meticulously handmade using real pearls, gemstones and ocean treasure.
All our larger pearls are ‘Keshi’ pearls, a Japanese word also meaning “poppy”. These are non-nucleated pearls typically formed as by-products of pearl cultivation. Keshi Pearls are highly prized and very valuable because of their remarkable luster & unique shape making no two jewellery pieces the same.
Our smaller pearls are freshwater pearls derived from mollusks. These pearls form when an irritant works its way into a particular species of these mollusks. The mollusks then secretes a liquid around the irritant, which could be a grain of sand, forming a pearl.
All stones we use are gemstones. Gemstones are minerals, rocks, or organic matters that have been chosen for their beauty, durability, and rarity. Natural gemstones are formed in nature with no human’s interference.
All our shells are collected from the ocean and carefully cleaned and drilled, allowing us to create uniquely beautiful jewellery pieces.
